Well, life has a way of surprising people!
One of my favorite things about baseball is that you really never know what's c
oming
around the corner, even if you have a good guess. A slump or streak could happe
n at
any time, and change everything.
Maybe if I was the type to gamble that would be a bad lesson, but as someone wh
o doesn't
trust my own luck, it just gives me more of a mellow go-with-the-flow sense abo
ut things
I can't control.
(Of course I'm only human, and still get too invested into a team that's consis
tently
exactly what it says it is, but at least I know what I signed up for)
