Hi Daryl!
BM>Unfortunately it was such a slow day almost no other customers in the
BM>store.
DS> The thing is...if you have a full crew, you get little
DS> business. Send everyone home but a skeleton crew, and you get
DS> slammed. I saw that numerous times working for Burger King nearly
DS> 40 years ago.
Of course! Micro-truth was was also everybody checks out at once. Can
have no one check out for ten minutes, then everyone decides they're
done and hits the checkout.
BM>And of course the jury probably decided in favour of the woman, the
BM>fountain being a public nuisance!
DS> Probably. It harkens back to the woman who sued McDonald's and
DS> won, because she spilled hot coffee in her lap, and burned her
DS> groin. Who wants cold coffee??!!
Iced coffee is good, but cold - no. And as for setting the soft cup
between her legs -- what does one expect is going to happen?! Physics!
BM>The monitoring services are good. Or at least seem to be: quite sure
BM>there is someone out there working on how to turn a good thing for
BM>others into something for their own benefit. I also have the service,
BM>and so far, so good.
DS> Better to be safe than sorry...although even these companies
DS> (i.e. Equifax) can suffer a breach of data.
Of course. And the others were saying "by the Grace of God it wasn't
us!". And their IT guys were adding "this time". ...One thing I
thought of when they announced free credit monitoring for a year: if I
had the account information I'd probably sit on it for that year, then
release (sell) -- after the monitoring period.
