Nah, we didn't lose -- we owned half of yas for a while (straight down the
Mississippie corridor to the Gulf of Mexico); we didn't lose anything of ours -
- you lost a huge part of yours for some time; we gave it back to settle things
at the end & get rid of a bunch of our French.

Nah, that was why we "won"! ;)

We didn't need all that extra land we had -- we just took it to show we could.

&, yes, I am aware you subtly put forth that the war was between the USA & the
British, 55 years before "Canada" formed; but we used the term Canada already
(Upper & Lower Canada for what's now Quebec & Ontario)

The men who chased yours to the Gulf wore British uniforms, but called
themselves Canadians(in English)

Just joking about, mate!

Let's call it a tie, so out of 3 wars with youse, Canada won 2.5!

Pretty good odds.

Your generals have been planning another ever since, but realized it would be
impossible to win, so dropped them all.

I have a copy of a White Paper drawn up by some 5-star generals in the 1990s
covering an exploration of a full frontal attack on British Columbia (north of
your Washington State) which concluded it to be unfeasible, & that doing so
would result in too many losses (men, ordnance, & reputation) to the US.

The older plans to invade Canada's centre are public domain now, & likewise
were rtuled unfeasible.

It's better we stay friends.

You get decent lumber, ores, & fish -- we get paid for same.

We get some not far away places to have a sunny & warm winter vacation, paying
for it, of course. . .

BC offers some of the best sdkiing this side of the Alps. . .

It's betterthis way -- as brothers (but in the wrestling match that is our
sibling rivalry, we're bigger & on top.)

That's where Uncle Sam came from; we had a general na,ed Samuel some thing-or-
other & he ordered you to "say 'uncle.'"!

& like in your anthem, you romanticised losing a major battle & used it as a
rallying cry for all Americans ever since, to take up arms & fight, fight,
fight!

Best to yas, mate!
