I prefer the take-home tests/projects too, though sometimes they can get a bit o
ut of hand. I worked on an interview project for SpaceX that took weeks to compl
ete - I still didn't get that job.
My favorite interview questions are where they supply you with some code and ask
you to find all the problems with it. I find those questions really easy for wh
atever reason.

It was just that one time. I sometimes wished I accepted that position as it was
a management position very early in my career and could possibly have helped el
evate my career trajectory. I had long hair at the time and the offer was contig
ent on my cutting it, so I declined. I still expected to become a "rock star" at
that time. :-)
