I have a USB SNES controller and that works great. For newer stuff I use a PS4
controller.
I still need to get the PS4 controller working right with MAME so I can use both
sticks in SMASH TV.

I have the 4GB version, it doesn't make a difference. The problem with the N64
Emulation stuff is due to graphics processing. The RPi 4's GPU is a bit better
than the 3 (as it can do 4k), but it's still not up to snuff, apparently.
