Not being American but also from a country with a patriotic DNA toward symbols
I still don't understand why Kaepernick was so much bashed after it.

To refer to above comments, some people come to the church and do not pray at
all, don't react on moments when to knee and when to stand and all this rubbish
actions that for sure catholic church educates you to do.. does it mean
behavior is offensive to the faith and people should be crucified for it?

Maybe out of desperation he could not find other way to make a point. I
consider it much more constructive what Kaepernick did than all that Black
Lives Matter bullshit that came out of similar frustration but outcome is
robbed stores and cars torched to the ground. And guess what.. people were
kneeling back to terrorists to say I'm sorry.

I'm an outsider but I think America has a lot to learn how to deal with social
unrest in a constructive way.
