Yes, I understand that soccer (football to you) is the biggest 
thing in Europe (and other places).  I played soccer myself in 
school, but don't have a whole lot of interest in it any more.  I 
do try to watch the World Cup tournament when it comes around.

I think football (USA version) is probably the "biggest" sport 
here these days, even despite the "social justice" issues that 
have embroiled it.  Baseball was always known to me as "America's 
game", but seems to have declined in recent years.  Most people 
find it too slow-paced and boring.  Basketball has it's following, 
but I think it's also on the decline overall.

I have somewhat of a cyclic interest in baseball, but my 
major/favorite sport is ice hockey.  :-)
