Kapernick started the whole thing about kneeling during the
playing of the national anthem before games, as some sort of
"protest" against unfair treatment of black people. Many people
found (and still do) that to be disrespectful, and a lot of folks
gave up on the NFL (and basketball/NBA, and to some extent
baseball/MLB) because of it.
... All the easy problems have been solved.
