I enjoyed the first few episodes, maybe the first season, but it REALLY
jumped the shark for me... But we all like different things. :-)

I read the book and LOVED it!!! That's why I checked out the show, but
just couldn't get into it... Did the show end the same as the book?

LOL - I'm sure, since the overall premise was the same, but the story was
NO where near the same when it came to details, like the 'egg' and the
aliens (or whatever they were)...

Again, opinions differ - I personally LOVE the character development he
gives and it's THAT, those personal things that are 'dwelled on' that
make the character resonate with me. I feel like I KNOW people in his
books when I finish them..
I just finished The Institute the other day. Man! Another great one,
IMHO.

So did you read the ending?

Most all of them do deviate. It's two different mediums, and there's NO
way they can do ANYTHING on film that rivals the unlimited potential of
one's imagination.

I think Green Mile is the most accurate adaptation of any of his works! As much
as I loved 11/22/63 as a mini series, it still wasn't as good as the book
to me. But Green Mile... wow - it's like they took the pages and filmed them.

LOL - you should try local community theatre. I have been in two local
productions and LOVED it!!! No pay, it's all volunteer, and LOTS of work
and time, but it's VERY very fun to pretend to be someone else. :-)
