The Night Manager is another fine adventure through a world of international
settings and illegal trade.

The series is based on John LeCarre's book of the same name.

If you like espionage, intrigue, adventure.. and bits of adult situations
thrown in, then The Night Manager is a fine wild ride.

Hugh Laurie (of HOUSE fame) plays an arms dealer. His Latvian is terrible (my
first language is Latvian, so I should know!) LOL. And, to portray that
Latvians can be criminals at such an international level is completely
imaginary - of course. ;)

An agent is embedded as a hotel manager (hence, the title) to sniff out corrupt
activities.

Originally aired in 2016, but I only picked it up a year or so later. It is
only one season of 6 episodes, but it's fast-paced, and the last episode is a
fine conclusion - as it mirrors the book's storyline. Season 2 with a
new/continuing storyline is in the works.
