Could be.  They seem to be doing that a lot lately.

Yes, I am sure both are capable.  My guess is that they would attack either
of them to see how we would respond.

I have never believed that China was wealthy, outside from some of the
elite members of the CCP.  Most of their population is in the geographic half of
the country that is closest to the coast, too.
