I'm a bookless Christian. The bible is a book, books are a form of media, and
the media has been incredibly dishonest with people, especially for the past 8
years.
But I AM a Christian. I believe in Jesus and I believe everything he (allegedly)
said. I believe in him because I've seen evidence of the power that my prayers
to him hold.
I want people to understand that you don't need a book to help you connect with
God, and that you probably don't need statues that are worth thousands of
dollars, either. You don't need an ancient text. The miracles of life are
self-evident, and so is Jesus' power.
I love church though so I pretend to care about "books" while I'm there.
