I've never noticed high pitched buzzing with fluorescent bulbs at home, especial
ly the compact fluorescent bulbs that fit in a regular light socket.. There are
some rooms in my house that use a tube fluorescent bulb (the kitchen and one of
the closets), but even there I don't notice a high pitch buzzing noise.
