I see it stated all over the Fidonet echoes that, without `users' sysops are
pretty well doing a BBS for nothing. That `users' are (or WERE) what BBS'ing was
about.

But...if certain `powerbrokers' are going to continue limiting `users' access to
certain echoes....then `users' are not really part of Fidonet any more,
they are either just silent observers, or they finally just drop Fidonet
altogether. In which case Fidonet only consists of `sysops' and `powerbrokers'
with the occasional short-lived newbie thrown in.

The more limited users are to only certain echoes, the more the conversation
becomes one-sided. Till all there is is one opinion...one way of thinking...
`...and all nature wears one uniform, silly grin..'
