This is a reminder that on November, 8, 2016, the CommonUpdater site will be
updated with digital certificate information for McAfee products. The changes
are not expected to impact customers or their installed products.
Previously, updates for DAT releases that included updated digital certificate
information for McAfee products occurred as follows:
The opt-in Customer Evaluation period (October 4-24, 2016) to CommonUpdater3 was
completed on October 24, 2016.
The update to CommonUpdater2 was completed on October 25, 2016.
Future Changes
A second series of changes will involve the dual-signing of DAT components using
two digital certificates and is expected to occur as follows:
An opt-in Customer Evaluation period for dual-signing of DAT components using
two digital certificates via
http://downloadcenter.mcafee.com/products/mcafee-avert/dats will start on
November 21, 2016.
The go-live dates for CommonUpdater3, CommonUpdater2, CommonUpdater and
http://downloadcenter.mcafee.com/products/mcafee-avert/dats locations will be in
early Q1 2017.
