Hi Mike!
MP> We have had some brief but decent rains over the past couple of
MP> days. The two cherry tomato plants I put in over the weekend
We had a very hot Monday -- somewhere in the 90's. Official high
temperature I saw was 92°; thermometer at the house said 99° and that is usually
within a degree or two of the two NWS sites a few miles from the
house.
This morning (Thursday) it's 57° -- guess part of the cooldown after
Cristobal wandered through giving about 2" of rain.
Like at your place things are really growing here: yard has sometimes to
be cut twice a week. Have a largish patch of groundcover -- used to be
under a maple tree but the tree died a few years ago. Without a tree to
shade the groundcover has really taken off! With the rain and warm-to-
hot temperatures it has _really_ taken off!! I need to get in there and
starting whacking it back closer to the ground so it doesn't look
overgrown but other things need to be done first. Only so much time,
not going to do it in the rain nor when too hot.
MP> years ago. If the wildflowers take hold, maybe they will keep
MP> the weeds at bay. :)
If the weeds are pretty allow them to grow too!
