It's part of the fun. And we learn stuff, but yeah, I hear ya, it's much harder 
to get down on the ground, in the dust bunnies, with my hardware. I don't enjoy 
it nearly as much any more. But I'm happy with the results, usually.

Doing *both* (remote managin a VPS) and standing-up and managing your own hardwa
re is likely the best of both worlds as far as knowledge and experience goes. It
's good to know that Synchronet (hopefully) works good for either type of sysop.
