Thanks for the suggestion, I was unware Windows had it's own protection built
in. For your BBS, do you "open" your BBS folders like you would a port, to
ensure Windows doesn't delay any activity while checking every file accessed
by a user?
I went above and beyond the system restore, and completely reinstalled
windows, python, php, vs, node js, etc.. It improved some performance, but
not the delayed login and delayed keystroke acknowledgement during login. It
has to be something with the BBS at this point, however I didn't make any
changes, so it's a mystery I'm slowly chipping away at.
