That'd be a question for xtrnmenu's author, Michael Long.
The source for xtrnmenu's terminal server module is exec/xtrnmenu.js, and it app
ears to have some logic to accept multi-digit inputs, but perhaps that's broken
when using an external menu display file.
There's a lot of copy/pasta in that script I see too, so it's likely a bug that
occurs in multiple places and thus may require multiple changes to fix.
