I can add an additional "virtual directory name" field (per directory) that coul
d be used for that purpose. You'd likely need to do a lot of copy/pasting or typ
ing to get that field populated how you like (for each directory) though. Or wou
ld you just prefer an option to just use the already-configured short or long di
rectory name *as* the virtual directory name in place of the internal code (as i
s done now)?

Aliases work for paths from the root directory only (e.g. I have /Synchronet as
an alias to my /main/sbbs directory).
