Hi Daryl!
BM>Two tiered? <g> (That's supposed to be a pun on your 'cake' typo and
BM>the words 'too tired'.)
DS> I finally figured it out. I have been that lately for
DS> sure...and will be even more so with all I have on the agenda
DS> this month.
Moving can be an exhausting process: figuring out what to keep, what to
discard. What is kept has to be divided in to what can be packed and
what has to be left available for use while your packing. ...Or the
other way around: my parents had set aside and otherwise collected items
for my eventual move to college. So the silverware was there in NH, I
was here in Iowa. Got a packet of plastic forks, knives, etc., for
temporary. Hint: plastic spoons tend to start melting from the heat
while making instant mashed potatoes!
BM>A problem with moving is, well, moving. Too much too move, too much to
BM>downsize. If necessary it would be done, of course, just.... <shudder!>
DS> A fellow ham radio operator and his sons will help with the
DS> move, and my Mom will help me get the needed supplies and
DS> vehicles.
That's good!
BM>As for going out at night -- too much work, too expensive, too
BM>exhausting! Happens we did go out last night to the 'store closing
DS> Reminds me of the joke where there was a "goodbye party" at
DS> this business for employees that were either laid off or took
DS> early retirement. The boss said "This is fun. We should do this
DS> more often". Not one employee said a word...they all stood around
DS> with "the deer in the headlights look".
<snortle!>
BM>Right. I remember when I was living with my parents Dad saying after a
BM>storm a tornado had pretty much gone down the center of a street a few
BM>blocks from the house. That's sort of amazing, but also this
BM>particular street is diagonal to every other street.
DS> As I type this, there is an apparent tornado just north of
DS> Cedar Rapids.
I'm not recalling that one but last week there was an F0 in SE Iowa (the
Burlington, IA, area) and the other night a break-in report of rotation
on the radar indicating probably tornatic activity in the county northwest
of here.
BM>we cut the hay, plan to let it dry for a week and then [harvest] it and
BM>it rains [our plans are screwed up].
DS> The Weather Rock works a lot better. <G>
It's been so humid lately the Weather Rock would indicate raining!
