Great. I am online with Putty for once. But otherwise, it's just more awesome wi
th the real C64.

For me, here in the Partybowl, I am actually getting a bit of that old BBS feeli
ng again. I wouldn't have thought so. I started back in 1984/85 with a 300 baud
acoustic coupler on the C64. Here in Germany, phone costs were very high - so yo
u had to watch every minute. That's why the Snobsoft BBS, which I brought back o
nline after 40 years, still has a one-minute inactivity timeout built in. Back t
hen, it was to protect the user from accidentally staying on the line and incurr
ing unnecessary phone costs. Today it can be annoying - I think I'll remove it s
ince I've realized how relaxing it is in comparison in the Partybowl when I can
take my time to understand all the menus without getting a timeout right away. E
specially for me as an 80s BBS enthusiast, these "modern" 90s-style BBS are stil
l quite unfamiliar in terms of handling, but I am slowly getting used to it.

BTW: Does anyone have an idea how to make it so that the BBS is accessible via T
elnet and Dial-up on the C64? I've managed either one, but not both at the same
time. I would need some kind of switch to allow either Telnet or Dial-up. The Sn
obsoft can only handle one port. Maybe with a Raspberry Pi at the user port of t
he C64 somehow? I appreciate any tips.
