That is interesting.. I took my original (dialup) BBS down in 2000, and I thoug
ht BBSing was dead at the time. In 2007, I learned there were still some BBSes
running via telnet, which I actually thought was pretty cool, and I started runn
ing a BBS again. I decided to use Synchroent, and I thought it was pretty cool
to see modern software that lets you run an old-school BBS with some modern conn
ectivity features, such as the built-in web server, news server, FTP server, etc
., and the fact that Synchronet has inter-BBS messaging (a cool feature, though
I don't use it very often).
