well i've been a bit of a job jumper after leaving my job of 17 years.
I've worked at places that had unions that were total dogshit.  The benefits
were not on par with non union companies and the progression and pay was poor.
Your experience in you union is not the norm in today's age.  Especially in
wisconsin where you don't even have to be in a union in a 'union shop'

There's a lot of unions that just side with the company and don't do anyting for
their workers.

Sadly, things are not like they used to be.
