What they did to him was the same thing comIP did to pcmike. They had a deal
and then the money stopped coming in even though he was generating sales.
Mike Preslar was getting screwed over.
4.08(last version of lord and a beta) was a fix for dosemu, basically.
People said 4.08 was a fix for issues with dosemu and os/2.

nah it wasn't a fuck you to gameport. for some time it was on the main page as a
link and then it was a separate webpage. He was just being a good programmer
and fixing the last of his problems.
From what i heard, Preslar had the same problems that everyone had. "who is
gameport"? and the lack of communication and the lags in communication. The
switching of people you dealt with. For a while it was this shannon (she gave
me my old codes), then it was another guy. There was an offer made where bryan
turner, jay hodges [thorox , backalley igms] and preslar would buy it and they
had a yes. Then no word back and this contact person disappeared.
then a guy on my irc actually called up multiserv where whoever owns gamport
works and he actually got his reg codes that he paid for. Then other people
got their codes from another guy. There were issues with people registering and
not getting their codes. gameport forwarded them to preslar even though it was
not his job to handle generating codes and keeping records.
Whoever runs gameport is certainly an old school nut and he still has tons of
webpages that are like 1995 style.
I heard he still makes money off majormud registrations.
