I don't think the rest of the world knows that americans are flexable.
We use 'standard' and metric forms of measurement. we just have a causal method
and a more professional or whatever method.
I'm in my late 40s and we were taught the metric system in school. People in
other countries don't really understand that; they think we are backwards and
behind.
I use fahrenheit personally in a causal setting and have no problem using
celcius at work.
A lot of americans understand both.
in regards to date formats i use both but use american style for causal use and
the other way for naming my backups.
