Back in the 1950's grocery stores in the summertime didn't have air
conditioning, just one or two cans in the store.
The liquid didn't get cool enuf to gel.
I would slurp the gel down if that was in the can when I opened it.
Vienna Sausage juice and Mushroom juice both have a salty taste that I like.
