I've dabbled in Perl, took a bit of study, but looked like quite a useful
language. I mostly script in BASH though, because at one stage, the code I was
fiddling with most was almost all BASH scripts, and it's always available on
Linux boxes. :) Haven't ventured into Python yet, but I know a lot swear by
