Mike,
MP> Sorry to anyone, especially in net 3 or to pick up QWK packets, who
MP> tried to poll here today. The electric was cut from around 10 or 11 AM
MP> until after noon. By the time it came back on, the UPS power had long gone
MP> out so it didn't get fixed until about an hour ago.
The UPS's usually keep the computer on for a short time, but the internet goes
out regardless.
MP> There were some pretty strong storms through here early this morning
MP> and a power pole less than a mile from here was twisted apart. All of
MP> the lines were still intact, which is why my power (mostly) stayed on
MP> between the storm and when they cut it so they could replace the pole.
A line of storms blasted through here overnight Sunday into Monday. There
was a Doppler Radar indicated tornado near Sheridan, not too far south of Little
Rock. We have another potential of severe weather late Thursday
into Saturday. I hope we aren't starting tornado season early.
I found a link to the Arctic Oscillation, so I'm watching for signs of
it going negative. That's when we know someone removed the weather
stripping of the Canadian border. <G>
