I think of Brosnan as a softer version of the more comedic Moore. He was more in
the direction of the hard nosed portrayal I see in Craig's style.

Skyfall worked for me because I took characters well established by the
preceding two films (also with Craig) and shook things up. It was a risky
move on the part of the producers and those that hold the franchises IP but also
necessary to do IMHO as actors and actresses want to move on from a franchise
sooner or later. It also worked for me as theme song was on a par with Shirley
Bassey 'Goldfinger' for power and emotional impact, especially when you review
it after experiencing the plot. Lastly I liked it as it had homages to past Bond
history... you will enjoy a vehicular tip of the hat
when you see it.
