OK, now I'm really confused.  From here it appears you are having no
problems: I'm seeing replies in a timely manner and no comments about 
"it took me five tries" or "I couldn't connect at all this morning".  
(I'll admit I'm more into documentation than most people.)

As far as the 'no problem' aspect I only see a message or lack of one:
no magical powers to snoop.

If you think switching to Mike Powell's system will solve your connection
problem it will be done - just let me know.  I would prefer to also try
to fix the problem even though you do switch: usually happens in the  afternoon,
when connecting to Node 3, that sort of thing.
