The DHCP server in your router should support address reservation. That's where
you permanently tie a MAC address (of your PC's network interface) to a specific
private IP address. Your PC will still think it's a dynamic IP address (using D
HCP), but it will *always* (and forever, or at least, until you replace or recon
figure your router) get the same IP address.
