Hi Folks!
My Mother is looking to replace a old credenza-style (or at least that's
how I describe it) refrigerator-freezer. I haven't found too much
information on it so capacity and dimensions are unknown. It's a

Site has a horrible pencil drawing exploded parts view. LIS, I haven't
found any information and wasn't too concerned as was looking to verify
the information on a replacement thermostat. It's a side-by-side, so
one side refrigerator and other freezer. Stands about to table-height,
hence my 'credenza' description. I'd guess five or six cubic feet total.
Replacement thermostat doesn't seem to work -- or over-works: she claims
the freezer is -40° -- yes, there's a minus sign! (I'm trying to argue
with her that temperature makes no sense: at the time the summit of Mt.
Washington [NH] was only -2°.) She is having someone work on it.
Anyway, looking for a potential replacement -- the refrig/freezer, not
the thermostat (though if the guy finds something...). The closest I
have found is an Avanti RMS551SS; I've also seem a RMS550PS which
appears to the either the same and a different finish or a different
model year. Manufacturer site is

So found something she may like -- part of the problem is she's 1,000
miles away and so I have to mail her the information. So no computer
and therefore no on-line ordering. What she'll do is probably go to a
local store and have the salesperson do the ordering. So what I'm
requesting if someone happens to know of a model that will fit the bill
and is orderable via a brick-and-mortar store. Found at Sears, Walmart
and OfficeDepot. If another store has something similar to what this
Avanti is I'd appreciate knowing. She'll be shopping in the Nashua, NH, (03060)
area.
