Hi, Alex Shuman!
I read your message from 21.08.2024 17:57
BF>>> I just love Russian humour. During the darkest Stalin years, the
BF>>> jokes about him were legendary. And now it's Putin's turn: Putin,
BF>>> after 10 days of Kursk catastrophe, summons Stalin's ghost:
BF>>> Stalin: "What's happened?" Putin: "Nazis are at Kursk! My army is
BF>>> beaten! What should I do?" Stalin: "Do like me in 1943. Send the
BF>>> best Ukrainian troops to the front, and ask the US for arms!"
ak>> IMHO, this Ukraine invasion in Kursk region is politically
ak>> profitable for Putin. And in addition, Ukraine having extended the
ak>> front line will really suffer after Putin sends his troops to
ak>> Kursk region. However maybe, the current situation is more
ak>> profitable as it is. It justifies a lot of things in this war.
AS> No. Because civilians are not targeted, and there will be more
AS> russian conscripts to exchange (the main target of this invasion, I
AS> guess).
To lost thousands of troops for exchanging hundreds? ;-) It's a dubious
idea. I think the matter is more simple.
CIA has correctly told the Ukraine army a good news that there were no
Russian troops in the Kursk region villages and the invasion will be as
a defile at first stage. But CIA has not told a bad news -- the invaded
group will not have a strong-build defensive fortifications, good air
defence etc when Russian troops arrive at last. Soon the situation will
look like a hand put into a bear's den.
Bye, Alex!
