Personally, I would have to agree. Strict gun laws would only IMHO have an
effect on the existing law abiding gun owners. Those individuals with a
mindset to rob, kill a person(s) will acquire a firearm(s) regardless of any
existing gun laws. Regardless of how strict those laws happen to be.

Chicago is said to have some of the toughest gun laws in the US but still had
over 4000 gun related crimes last year.

I personally don't fault a gun for killing people. Just as I don't fault the
trucks that were used in France and Sweden to kill people when they were driven
through crowds. I blame the individuals shooting the guns and driving the
trucks. The real task IMHO is to change the mindset of the person.
