I'd agree that it's likely possible with iOS as well.
I can't speak for your neighbors of course, but I'm the type of lunatic that
would attempt connecting to Fidonet with a game console, if only to see it be
done.
But I'm also the guy that would run a BBS on a Tablet or phone if I could.
