I guess for me, I'd rather see something go off on it's own... Star Trek
is Star Trek. If you turn around and mess with it, like JJ did... It's
not Star Trek for me anymore. It's something kinda like it.
Why didn't he just make his own universe instead? Just like with Star
Wars... They declared everything out side of the movies to be
"potentially invalid". All the books... all the games.... all the
expanded universe stuff. All because JJ was too lazy to come up with his
own completely original idea.
