I thing that IPv6 gives you that IPv4 does not is that if you have multiple
machines at home each one can answer on the default port. Every machine can
answer on 24554 for example because each machine has a unique IP.

That doesn't happen with IPv4. I don't have IPv6 either.

The above is not something that most people will care about since most people
don't run any services at home or very little but it is something I look forward
too.

IPv6 is not some bleeding edge technology but the IPv4 space has been exhausted
and we need to make this change, sooner would be better than later.
