I'm using older 100 Mb/s switches. I have some 1 G/s switches here, but
they're still in the box. My uplink is only in the 50-100 Mb/s range so I see
no need to break out gigabit switches. Even most of my computers are only
capable of 100 Mb/s anyway. I imagine if I had gigabit internet service, hell
even 300 Mb/s service I'd be breaking out the 1G stuff, but for what I have on
my uplink, 100 Mb/s LAN is more than enough.
