I thought 1 gigabit was fairly common/standard now on most computers, routers, s
witches, and such.. I have a couple of PCs and a router, all which have 1 gigab
it ethernet onboard. Are you using fairly old equipment? I think the only thing
s I have these days that only support 100 megabit ethernet are a couple of strea
ming devices (a Roku Ultra, a Nvidia Shield Pro), and a USB Ethernet adapter I u
se for a Nintendo Wii), and those are things that arguably would be fine with 10
0 megabit.
