I hadn't really looked into 10 gigabit equipment much yet.. I do have a couple
PCs that I copy files between sometimes, but I feel like 1 gigabit is still enou
gh for me. Maybe one reason is that although I have SSDs in both computers, I a
lso have a spinning hard drive in each computer (for storage) as well, as spinni
ng drives still seem to be less expensive for storage - and I thought a gigabit
network connection would be about as fast as I could copy files between PCs with
a couple of spinning hard drives.

That 10 gigabit switch is more expensive than my router cost.. At the price poi
nt, I might wait a bit before upgrading to 10 gigabit. Also, I'd have to buy 10
gigabit ethernet cards for both PCs, since their onboard ethernet is 1 gigabit.
