Why not? Linux runs fine as a host, although I am still not sure dosemu2 will
work on anything I have running here. I lack the dependencies required as well
as all the machines I have a pure 64 bit.

Understood. Last time I had it working ws on a 486 with no VM (i486 linux
host). That was over 25 years ago. I still am suspicious about running it
within a guest no matter what. Have you had it working before?
