What are these non-mainstream social media platforms you speak of? I thought mo
st people had moved to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I didn't think others
such as MySpace, LiveJournal, Orkut, and others were used much anymore.

From what I remember, that was added in late 2016 for Synchronet 3.17. And in a
ddition to upvoting and downvoting, Synchronet also supports polls that people c
an vote on.
