I was in Fidonet between the years of 1988-1997 and everything was DOS-based bac
k then and run with magnanimous batch files (I recently found some of my old set
ups on floppies.) :)
I ran mailers like SEAdog, Frontdoor, Binkleyterm and Intermail.
BBSes: Opus, QuickBBS, RemoteAccess (never ran Fido BBS)
All controlled with a batch file called SVC.BAT which was originally written by
a guy named Gee Wong and totally bastardized and modsified by moi... it would do
system functions in the order on the command line like:
SVC scan toss backup runbbs
