When I was working at Broadcom, one of our device functions was a memory card (e
.g. SD Card) reader/writer, and the word from the marketing dept. was that Holly
wood was going to start distributing or renting movies on SD Cards. I don't thin
k that every transpired, but there were companies definitely planning to do so.

In any case, I think they could've distributed DRM-movies on USB flash drives or
SD Card if they really wanted to.
