100%. I especially love how the little digital status screens of ~25 characters
could be used to communicate so much information about the instruments, tracks,
performance, etc. In retro-games that support Roland MT-32, game developers inc
luded little ASCII art in the loading sequence when samples and tracks were bein
g uploaded into the MT-32's memory, that resembled the characters or monsters yo
u would be fighting. It's really very cute.
