According to the ARRL/VEC website, the exam fee for ham radio license exams
adminstered by an ARRL/VEC team will REMAIN at $15.00 through 2016.
The fee is for one attempt at a license exam. If the examinee passes that
exam, they can take the next one in line, free of charge. However, if they fail
said exam, they can re-take the failed exam, WITH A DIFFERENT SET OF QUESTIONS,
for an additional $15 exam fee.
Payment is by cash, or a check/money order to ARRL/VEC.
Note that other VEC groups may have different fees.
