BM>Hi Daryl!

Hi, Barry,

BM>Your refrigerated food should be fine. Speaking of power bumps I have
BM>seen what are essentially three minute timers to keep the refrigerator
BM>shut off for that length of time after a power glitch.

It was only off for an hour. I saw a power pole up the street, which
looked like it was the cause of the outage, but not sure. Power has been
fine since Thursday afternoon.

BM>Hopefully your mother's funeral went well.

It was finished in 20 minutes. Folks said "the eulogy was the best one
they had ever heard". I don't know if they said that to stroke my ego
(which didn't need or want such), or that "I didn't cram a Bible down
their throat".

BM>No matter what one does there are risks. Heck, I've sprained my ankle
BM>walking to the car to go to work (and went to work). (Slipped off the
BM>edge of the sidwalk.) While things do happen (and some thigs nastier BM>than
other things), most of the time things run smoothly. I suppose one BM>could
develop a motto fomr "be prepared but not paranoid".

I've got one crack in my butt...I don't need another one from falling.

BM>I haven't heard his accent on the radio in several years. ...Well, the
BM>chain still exists, and the headline says one was killed in a Motel 6 BM>near
Everett ...Washington. Thought maybe was an Everett around here.

  Not sure.

BM>Hmm - one of the sidebar headlines from the above story: "Man cuts power
BM>lines to prevent KGB from poisoning US, says Ariana Grande told him to".
BM>Well, that explains your power outage! <g>

I think the squirrels are more to blame.

BM>And if the room had been smoked in the management did something to clean
BM>it up. The hotel I stayed in while in Vienna was non-smoking.

I thought I would suffocate before morning. the first 2 things I check
is that the room is NON-SMOKING, and that there are NO BEDBUGS.
Otherwise, I'm going to demand another room, or my money back. Of
course, they'd probably evict me...but the way social media is nowadays,
if bad advertising gets out about the hotel, their business will drop
like a rock.

BM>All depends how one defines and needs "time off". When working I BM>prefered
"long weekends" and so would arrange for a vacation day or two, BM>sometimes in
conjunction with a day off, so appeared as if I was BM>constantly there. As for
work projects now, I do mini-breaks: will BM>on-purpose put the lawn bag in the
shade at the other side of the yard
BM>so I have to walk to it to empty my bucket. Gives me a chance to
BM>stretch out (such as from weeding), plus a bit of a break.

With several of my Facebook friends being hacked (or cloned), I
decided to change my password again...tripling its size, where no actual
words are in it...just letters, numbers, and symbols, all through it. I
also UNFRIENDED ALL MY FRIENDS (had just over 500...too many, IMO). I
said "I AM BURNED OUT ON FACEBOOK", and felt like I was about to have a
breakdown (I still feel that way). :(

As it turns out, that week I was going to go to New Mexico, I've got
to have the Low-T procedure done, and I have to take it easy for a
couple of weeks after it...which falls right with the schedule for that
trip. So, it wasn't meant to be.

The money I had saved up, went to getting a fancy website for the
Arkansas State Square Dance Federation, which I'm still working on.
Everything went on hold when my Mom died, and for funeral preparations
for her. But, I'm in desparate need to wind down, and take some time
off. Yet, it doesn't appear that will occur.

BM>Getting away from the house doesn't sound like a possibility and maybe BM>not
even a necessity; just take little breaks. Good song on the radio
BM>-- pause and listen. Noise outside - investigate and get distracted
BM>with the robin searching for that worm.

I don't even listen to the radio, let alone watch TV...none of the
content interests me.

Daryl
