Hi Daryl!
BM> Hi Daryl! ...It _is_ Daryl, right?! <gg>
DS> Looks over anatomy after taking a shower...yeah, I think so. <G>
I don't think that is going to suffice: there's an actress named Daryl
Hannah. Not to mention (but we will anyway) a boy named Sue (in the
Johnny Cash song).
DS> But, if someone asks me if I took a shower, I ask "Why?? Is there one
DS> missing??". <G>
This thread's going down the drain!
DS> Just don't call him (of anyone else) late for dinner. <G>
BM> Or at least provide a snack while waiting.
DS> I saw a video today on AFIB by this heart surgeon in East
DS> Texas. She said "if you eat dark chocolate once a week, it can
DS> lower AFIB". To me, chocolate has caffeine, and that raises your
DS> heart rate. So, I've given that up, but my migraines have
DS> returned.
Chocolate has caffeine but not nearly as much as a cup of coffee. One
source indicates white chocolate has 0 mg caffeine while dark chocolate
has 12. Milk chocolate has 34! (Can't go by colour!) A cup of coffee
has 95 mg; decaffeinated 2; instant coffee 31 mg. Tea has 26 mg, though
black tea 47 and herb tea 0.
And all that can go in the rubbish pile if someone is sensitive/has a
reaction to or even just plain doesn't like. And I would suspect there
are a few distinctions and/or acceptable combinations so one could
possible gorge on chocolate because it also contains some other
ingredient but a few sips of coffee and the person has a reaction.
BM> Not another lip-sync scandal!
DS> Vanilla Ice?? Sounds like a milk shake. <G>
BM> Close -- something like Milli Vanilli, which sounds like a tiny ice
BM> cream!
DS> I couldn't remember who it was.
No, The Who is a different band. <g>
DS> I do all my gardening at Kroger. <G>
BM> Sometimes easier and cheaper. ...Hmm: wonder how many kids have gone
BM> on a school trip to a farm and wondered how come the tomatoes on the
BM> vine don't have cellophane and a tray?
DS> I'm seeing more and more instances of foods contaminated by
DS> e-coli, salomnella, etc. -- and it makes you wonder what's safe
DS> anymore.
Nothing. Everything. If something is listed as a potential hazard and I
think I might have it I will check -- not going to be stupid and
knowingly eat something bad. OTOH I wonder if the 'sudden' rise in
contamination reports is due to another factor like increased testing or
more sensitive testing. Remember the mercury in fish scare in the 70's?
The testing became more sensitive, so now could detect smaller amounts
of mercury. Same amount was in the fish before and after, just now was
able to be detected.
And not saying OK to eat a ton of fish: detectable or not mercury in
excess is not good for a body.
BM> (Visualizing Daryl walking around with fans hanging from his neck like
BM> a rapper had medallions.)
DS> If I think about it, I'll send you a selfie...but I better get
DS> more decently attired first (now, you'll have that nightmarish
DS> image all day; it's revenge for you getting the song stuck in my
DS> head (as noted later in this message!!)) <BG>.
What's worse at the beginning of this message you were in the shower!!
BM> One option might be to replace the AA batteries with rechargeable ones,
BM> specifically those to be charged via USB. Off-hand no idea what the
BM> cost is so no way to calculate the break-even point. I have some of
BM> the D version to power LED lanterns during power failures -- can
BM> recharge from cell phone power bank, a laptop, or a solar charger.
DS> I bought a large amount of those awhile back. On batteries,
DS> while there are AA, AAA, C, and D, there are no A or B batteries.
Used to be! ...Ages ago I worked in the store in the area also selling
vacuum cleaners. Wall full of replacement bags, none interchangeable.
Not unusual for a customer to come in, stare at the wall in
bewilderment. Usually know the brand but not the bag identifier (some by
letters. some by numbers.). Some only repsonded "my vacuum is green".
Usually I take the customer over to the vacuum display and ask if one
looked familiar and go with that bag (also reminding them I'm not sure,
don't open the new bags' package until compared with the old, etc.)
Anyway, this particular one was a lighweight upright Eureka, using a
Type F&G bag. Repeated that to myself, but should have said it
silently. Customer was looking at me strangely at my sudden change in demeanor:
if one says "F&G" ('eff and gee') it sounds like "f'n G" (take
the first letter and last three letters of 'firetruck')!
BM> Fiddle Faddle was (maybe still is) a something like Cracker Jacks.
BM> Every so often Hy-Vee (grocery store) will have a 3-pack on sale for $1 and
BM> I'l get one; prizes are quite the same!
DS> I never had the craving for it.
Drizzle chocolate over it! <g>
BM> Seems should be able to go to the Logitech site to obtain another copy.
DS> I had to look around, but found what I wanted.
Good!
BM> I left my heart
BM> in San Franscisco
BM> in the bucket.
DS> Train was coming.
DS> Tried to duck it.
DS> Kicked the gas,
DS> Then the bucket.
DS> Burma Shave.
BM> Got a new one
BM> from a deceased harpist.
BM> Now I have to play a new tune
BM> Zing Went the Strings of My (new) Heart!
DS> Now, I'll have that song in my head the rest of the day. Maybe
DS> I should make my trolley bell clang (take that however you want
DS> it, sir). <bseg>
Wait until you start mixing them! Clang! clang! clang! went the
trolley! Bump! Bump! Bump! over my heart -- I left in San Francisco...
I go out walking / after midnight / searching for my heart!
