When you say "non-JS-programmer", are you already familiar with programming in o
ther languages?  If so, IMO learning JavaScript is not that difficult, since syn
tatically it's not very different from C, C++, C#, and similar languages.  I'm n
ot a big JS developer myself and got used to developing in JS, and there is fair
ly good documentation on Synchronet's JS object model.
